Grand Designs Live - BSI at ESC stand

Congratulations to PJ Fire Ltd for gaining their Kitemark licence for Fire Extinguishers, EN3. ccepting their certificate at Firex North are company directors John May and Peter Cowley either side of BSI Product Services, International Sales Manager, Graham Rea. PJ Fire were introduced to Kitemark via ADI-Gardiner.

A BSI Kitemark representative shared the Electrical Safety Council advice desk at Grand Designs Live at the NEC on 10th October. Following an invitation by the Electrical Safety Council, Bill Allen – a BSI expert on electrical schemes – was on hand to dispense valuable advice to potential Kitemark electricians, helpful updates for existing Kitemark electricians and answered many queries from consumers related to household wiring projects. 

Among the topics discussed were the importance of using recognised contractors for electrical installation work; the need for regular inspection of electrical installations and the requirements of Part P for Building Regulations.
